Soccer Saturday

We had 8 players yesterday for our winter soccer practice. The weather was nice, sunny and warm. After the game I gave blood to the holiday blood drive. Later we did laundry and watched a movie. Santa Clause 3. It was awful, not a happy Christmas movie at all... GGrrrr

Today was a nice day. More rain is expected tomorrow. Got Noah to school in time for him to run 3 laps, which I scored for him. He did his homework while @ Klassic Kids!

We put on a great star party @ Noah's school last night! Clear skies, good attendance and the ISS flew over :) Thanks Sonny, Susanna , Alice, Roy and Peter for bringing out their scopes and showing the kids a good time!

Race day

We walked 3 miles in 1:18mins :) It was hard to walk any faster with 15,000 others around you. The route was awesome! BIG fun. We'll be back next year!!

We are in Redding!

WE arrived safe and sound in Redding yesterday for Thanksgiving. 1-30 min card ride to park and fly, 1- shuttle to airport, 1-trip to secondary inspection due to an expired drivers licence, 1 hour plane ride, 45 mins to rent a car(thanks Hertz), Two hour drive from Sacramento to Redding, arrive in Redding @ my sisters house...Priceless......

Bill's first soccer game

Noah's end of the season soccer picnic was today. BIG BBQ, 5 air jumps/slides, DJ, Cake walk banner contest.. Big fun was had by all. OH, Noah won the cake walk. He was SO excited!! After all that the coach's and Reff's played an adult soccer game. It was awesome!! I made a few good passes & a couple of blocks. I also missed quite a few balls, I was almost always too close and they went over my head. It was hard to gauge them, being a rookie and all...It was pretty exciting, I have never played a game (with adults) before. The game ended tied 4-4 PERFECT! No winners, no losers, just a bunch of tired/sore coach's at the end. I have a much greater appreciation for the kids and the game now :)

We won our last game today 4-2. That put us at 5-2-2 for the season. Tomorrow is the BIG all day picnic...

Hey we won our game Saturday 4-1. Great team work. Chip scored his first goal of the season. Patrick was driving hard and scored one or two. Eric scored then we benched him and played the second string.

After being off from school for a week. Noah goes back to school tomorrow. The fires have died down and the air quality is returning to normal. :)

Good news, the local Witch creek fire is subsiding. The air is beginning to clear here.

WE still surviving this awful firestorm. My brother checked yesterday and his house is still there. They are still not allowed to return home. We were never in danger here in Mira Mesa, Just a lot of smoke and ash :(

Smoky sunrise yesterday. 300,000 people evacuated. We packed our stuff due to a false alarm/ wrong info on the TV news. WE never were in danger. WWsshhewww

There is a really big fire in town. My brother Gary had to evacuate to Dad's house in Coronado. We are OK here, if fact our local high school is an evacuation center. Noah's school was closed today, too much smoke for the kiddies.

Well it actually stopped raining before we started, but it was very wet and muddy!
We played a good game but lost 5-6.

BunnyFest '2007

After setting up Bunnyfest Noah & I took a drive around Fiesta island. Here we stopped to check out the bay. The water was like glass. I remembered that I learned to Ski in that bay :)

Today's soccer game was rained out. So Noah & I went for a hike to watch the run off run thru the canyon.

Double Duty!

This evening, Noah has Swimming lessons AND Soccer practice. YIKES! We have a GREAT Soccer team this season! I just don't like the fact that we have Two sports activities back to back tonight. One a day with a day off here and there works for me :)

U8 Fall 2007 Soccer team

Noah & I scored our U8 Fall 2007 Soccer team last night. Only one boy that we know is on our team. We meet Saturday for our first practice. First game is September 8th.
